Our lovely friends over at Black Diamond will be bringing their ambassadors along to give you hints and tips on how best to improve your climbing skills.
We'll have a Climbing Wall set up in the courtyard for you try for FREE and you'll also be able to trial new Black Diamond Equipment!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are men allowed to come?
Of course! We believe in gender equality, and know how many of you take part in the outdoors with your male partners and friends and we'd hate for them to miss out. The event is developed for female's in mind and not to exclude anyone.
Can children come?
Yes, all children under the age of 14 will be able to attend free of charge, we want to inspire children to learn more about the outdoors and would encourage you to bring your children.
HOW TO GET HERE
From Central Station by Bus
Catch the M20 bus and stop at Botany Rd opp Collins St, Rosebery (Stop 201811)
From Central Station by Train
T2 Airport, Inner West & South Line Towards Macarthur via Airport to Green Square Station & walk 15mins
Driving there
There is street parking surrounding the venue, though it is expected to get busy. We're currently trying to secure off road parking for our attendees, and will update everyone prior to the event day.
LEAH GILBERT
Leah Gilbert is an Endurance Athlete, Specialist Fitness Trainer and Positive Body Image Advocate based in Newcastle. Tired of the ‘shaming’ approach to the rising Obesity statistics in Australia, Leah began to pose the prospect of inspiring people to improve their health by providing them with real, relatable role models. Listen to Leah talk about reframing adventure and getting into the outdoors.
Melissa Derwent
Melissa is the Sydney branch ambassador of Hike it Baby, a 0-5 yr old hiking and walking group. This International not for profit group provides support to get families in nature as soon as they feel ready. Melissa will be talking about the highs and the challenges of hiking with young kids and ways to help raise a generation to love the outdoors.
JANE GROVER
Jane Grover is passionate about food and cooking it well, using whole foods, home and locally grown, in season and where possible organic and biodynamic produce. Our Delicious Adventure
Recipes and Stories of Food and Travel is Jane's most recent cookbook. Jane entertains with the family's travel adventures and shares more than 75 of her simple, healthy, whole food recipes designed for health and happiness. Watch Jane cook up a storm on stage!
TRACEY CROKE
Tracey is a Sydney based travel journalist addicted to roughty-toughty travel, off-track adventure and anything involving a bike. Her quest for a good travel story has involved venturing into post-conflict Afghanistan to join a pioneering expedition across the Pamir Mountains, searching for rideable mountain bike tracks in the Ethiopian Highlands, being rescued by nomads in Kyrgyzstan's Talas Range and having her smalls rummaged through with the muzzle of a Kalashnikov.
Fuchsia Claire Sims
Fuchsia is the founder of Adventure Junky, a new social network for travellers helping you to share your latest and find your next adventure. It may just sound like fun and games but Fuchsia aims to save the world from mass tourism - one adventure at a time. Join her for this insightful and entertaining look at the future of travel, and walk away with a new appreciation for the power of adventure!
Amy Heague
With over 20 years experience in the Arts & Media arena as an Editor and Creative Director, Amy is a dynamic creative and public speaker who thinks outside the box. Renown for her uncanny knack for being ahead of the curve, uncovering stories and creative strategy solutions for small businesses and community organisations, she went ahead to use her foresight co-create Australia’s first adventure magazine for women that plays by its own rules; Travel Play Live.
Accustomed to the arena of social justice, Amy is an activist for the voiceless in Human Trafficking and worked avidly to support grass roots charities retraining young girls and empowering women in Cambodia.
JEN BROWN
Jen competes in triathlons and trail runs along with training others to kick their fitness goals. She is passionate about spreading her knowledge and inspiring women to challenge themselves. She has written many articles and recently launched a new project, Sparta Chicks, which is an online community for women where she focuses on how the mind effects sporting performance, hoping to empower women who struggle with self-doubt and confidence.
MORGAN KOEGEL
At the age of 24, Morgan Koegel is not only the youngest member, but the CEO of One Girl, an organisation committed to educating girls across Sierra Leone & Uganda through programs that target gender inequality. Morgan was the Development Manager of Prison Legal Education Australia where she worked in prisons across Victoria, and CEO of Engage Education, a not-for-profit keeping Aussie students from low socio-economic backgrounds in school. She is a passionate believer in the power of education and gender equality being a game-changer worldwide.
Emma Chalmers
Emma was cast as the “Rogue Trainer“ for prime time television on The Biggest Loser and Australia’s Next Top Model and now runs her own inspiring Podcast; Rebelology. As one of the country’s most reputed mind fit coaches, TV personality, writer, speaker and educator, Emma helps us understand the rapid shift in societies psychology towards the relationship with our bodies, self image and the evolved definition of health.

Caro runs lotsafreshair; a hiking website and channel packed full of inspirational journeys and practical tips to help people get out there and realise their own adventures. As a TV producer by day and volunteer Search Manager for Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Squad, she’s passionate about finding the balance between inspiration, adventure and education. It’s about ensuring we look after ourselves, our precious environment and inspiring others to do the same.
