Mount Macedon Women's Top-Rope Climbing // 24th Feb - $120
Join us for a day of top-rope climbing in the outdoors, led by Melbourne Climbing School. Get a taste of real rock and learn some technique tricks + tips from a nationally qualified climbing guide.
Schedule, Meeting Point + Facilities
9am - meet at Camels Hump Car Park (click for map)
This is a 1 hour drive from Melbourne CBD.
The walk to the crag is less than 10 minutes.
Camels Hump is the highest peak of Mount Macedon. This small rocky outcrop is in fact the 400 million year old remnant of one of the largest volcanoes ever seen in Earth's history. It has steep and solid rock, with a variety of short pumpy sport routes, tall trad lines, and crispy boulder problems, as well as a small cliff ideal for learning Sport Climbing.
Please note: there are no facilities at the cliff. There are no toilets; the bush is your only option! The closest shop is a cafe 5 minutes away.
3pm - we aim to pack up at 3pm so you can expect to be leaving the carpark at 4pm
