3-Day Burchell Trail Hike // Fri 11 Oct to Sun 13 Oct - $800

Less than an hour from Melbourne, the Brisbane Ranges is host to the state’s richest wildflower habitat. The Burchell Trail is a 40-kilometre hike traversing the park from north to south; it’s the perfect way to see the park in full bloom this spring!

Over 3 days and 2 nights, take in the scenery, the history and the unique biodiversity of this corner of Australia and learn all you need to know about multi-day hiking, from packing, gear selection and navigation to food, hygiene and risk management.

HOW THE WEEKEND GOES:

We will leave Melbourne at 9.30am on Friday.

We will spend most of the days hiking, carrying everything we need on our backs.

The evenings will be spent sitting around a campfire and having a grand old time together! On Friday night, we will camp at Little River Campsite. On Saturday night, we will camp at Old Mill Campsite.

Along the way, our experienced guides from Geelong Adventure Specialists, Shelley and Laura, will teach you everything you need to know including support pre & post trip for packing and gear selection. Topics during the trip may include navigation skills, gear reviews, food, blisters, hygiene, minimal impact strategies, risk management, trip planning & more.

We will be back in Melbourne at 4.30pm on Sunday.

DIFFICULTY OF HIKE:

This medium difficulty walk has some steep climbs & rocky descents but is achievable for anyone with medium fitness. If you enjoy day walks and you want to take on a new challenge, this walk is for you!

COST:

The cost for this adventure is 800 dollars.

A 200 dollar deposit is required that is non-refundable UNLESS we do not meet the minimum group size of 6.

The remainder of 600 dollars is due by 11 September 2019.

  • Personal clothing + insurance

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of bad weather, we will aim to re-organise the event, if you're unable to make the new date it we will offer you a full refund.

No refund on tickets on cancellations 7 days out from the event.

No refunds on no shows.
