UK Event: Women's Wild Food Foraging Day

Sunday 10th September  // 10am - 3pm // £60 + admin fee

We're partnering with Wild Spirit Bushcraft on this event, to give you a whole day of learning how to forage food safely. Our ancestors lived off the land from day to day successfully. Our modern world is losing the knowledge of how to forage our Wild Delights. Through our course we will show you how to find and identify edible plants safely and sustainably. Helping you regain this knowledge and enjoy a truly wild meal.

This is an introduction into the woodland wild food foraging enabling you to safely and sustainably gain knowledge of the native plant, fungi and tree species and how some are prepared and cooked. Lunch of course will be foraged !

The event will be help on the Merthyr Mawr Estate Bridgend, within the Nature Reserve, the courses are conducted within broad and coniferous woodland, benefiting the many different tree and plant species, and is home to many rare and common bird and animals which include, owls , goshawks, woodpeckers, foxes, squirrels, badgers, mink, hare, and dear.

A good level of fitness is required for all participants as all courses are set in an expedition style camp, within the private estate, as well as being only 20 minutes from one of the best coast lines in south Wales.
