Beginner Mum's Beginner Camping Weekend
Friday 27th October - 29th October 2017 // $665 (fees included) Payment Plan Available
She camps is a weekend away immersed in nature. A camping experience for those of us who are wanting to touch up on simple camping skills, maybe we are not normally campers, first timers, complete novices and those of us a perhaps a little daunted by the whole camping thing but are really keen to learn. Perhaps you are a mum who wants to camp with her kids but is not sure where to start? Or are you a woman just keen to learn how to camp in a fully supported all female group where fun, safety, basic comforts and practicalities are important?
Over the weekend we will learn the basic skills of camping; how to pitch your tent, campsite cooking, setting up a campsite, outdoor safety and how to make a camping experience comfortable with a few simple tips.
Leisure activities include swimming in the river, a bush walk to Pulpit Rock with great views over the Shoalhaven River and wandering around the stunning property.
While suitable for all women (not just mums) we will spend time learning some games and activities to keep the kids occupied while camping. How to make a bush cubby, float a small boat in the river, nature crafts and torch games for night time.
We will have a campfire cooking demonstration and spend time on Saturday learning some camp cookery skills. Participants cook the meal together on Saturday night before settling in around the campfire with warm drinks.
Accommodation camping costs, camp kitchen, meals, camp cooking lessons, basic amenities, a take home booklet for use on your own camping trips, a guided bushwalk, camp craft materials and unlimited exclusive use of the camping property.
2 nights exclusive campsite use at “The Nest on the Shoalhaven”.
We are the only ones at the tranquil Shoalhaven riverside site for the weekend. The site is surrounded by farmland and bush. Hear nothing but the sounds of nature for the weekend. This is a true bush camping experience with some simple comforts to make your stay enjoyable.
Pitch your tent in the open space next to the river, we are all there to help so it will be fun!
We have use of a large rustic barn for our camp kitchen and an open fire nearby.
A simple camp shower will be provided and portable toilets are on site.
