Workshop Review : Navigating the Wild
13 wild women find their way in the beautiful Blue Mountains
Saturday was our first Wilderness Navigational workshop with the Australian School of Mountaineering, and what a perfect day for it was! We were spoilt with views all across the mountains right over to Sydney.
We spent most of the day scrambling through the bush, learning to navigate with a compass, plotting routes and navigating using maps and the wilderness as our guide. We had 13 of the most amazing ladies who were all on the workshop for different reasons; from cross country skiing, trail racing and those who wanted to hike off the beaten tracks.
We succeeded in not getting lost, and I'm looking forward to grabbing my boots, thermos and heading out for some hikes over the next coming weeks.
Thanks so much to Brian, Tania and Chewy from ASM for such a wonderful day, and to all those who attended. Bring on the next one!!
Make sure you don't miss out on the other workshops we have coming up, with more to be announced really soon! Be sure to let us know via our Facebook page, if there are certain courses or experiences that you would like to see available.
